Current restrictions apply to hand held laser pointers only.
For your convenience I have attached a Fact Sheet on laser Pointers detailing these restrictions.

Subject: Item Restricted?
Sorry if this is the incorrect place to direct my question.
I was wanting to find out if the import of laser diodes contrasts to the restriction of importation of laser pointers?
Does the laser diode as a component classify as a laser pointer? And does this also apply to importation of laser modules? (enclosed laser diode with flying leads).
Thank you for any help regarding this question.
